DAVID GERTON
MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
David grew up in Colorado spending much of his youth with his dad and grandfather chasing the wily trout all over the Western United States. This is where he developed the love for the natural world found reflected in much of his art. David lives in Camas with his concert violinist wife, a member of the Oregon Symphony Orchestra.
David’s medium is unique mixed media 2D and 3D. The main element is Copper.
His professional career was spent in the commercial and industrial lighting industry, but his spirit has always been in design and art. David’s goal is to produce patriotic works and works paying homage to wild things found in nature; wolves, cougars, bears, fish, turtles, raptors, hummingbirds, and insects including butterflies. Commissioned works have been created on a myriad of subjects.
Copper Works Art can be found throughout the USA and in collections in Europe and the Middle East. David has participated in many shows, festivals, and Plein Aire events, and has been honored to receive People’s Choice, Artist
of the Month and Best in Show awards. David’s studio is located in Southwest Washington overlooking the Columbia River.
