Step Into the World of RedDoor

CLARK COUNTY’S PREMIER FINE ART GALLERY

MORE THAN A GALLERY

RedDoor Gallery in beautiful Downtown Camas is a vibrant, fine art space showcasing local artists work in oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, whimsical pen and ink, and exquisite three dimensional works in clay and fused glass. Premier fine art on exhibit is as diverse as its artists, offering a unique blend of storytelling, self-expression, beauty and emotion.

Natural light pours into the gallery though expansive windows, illuminating every piece of art with a radiant glow. As the sun moves, so does the atmosphere - shifting shadows, highlighting textures, and bringing each piece to life in a unique and dynamic way. The interplay between light and form creates an immersive experience in the historic brick building at 411 NE Dallas Street, where art isn’t just observed - it’s felt.

Experience the joy and transformative power of making art in the gallery’s professionally equipped instructional studio. Workshops in oil painting, fused and stained glass are held monthly. At special gallery events and monthly First Friday Art Walk receptions, the public is invited to view fine art being made in real time by represented artists inside the gallery’s exclusive exhibition studio.

MEET LIZ PIKE

The Visionary Spirit Behind RedDoor Gallery

Step through the iconic red door in Downtown Camas and you’ll find the heartbeat of the local art scene — Liz Pike.

A self-taught oil painter with more than four decades of experience, Liz brings bold energy, expressive color, and intuitive emotion to every canvas she touches. Her work — often inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s wild beauty and the gardens of her beloved Shangri-La Farm — ranges from sweeping landscapes to vibrant florals and soulful still life compositions. She paints with passion, teaches with joy, and shares her work with collectors across the region who return year after year.

But Liz is more than a prolific artist — she’s a builder of creative spaces.

In 2024, she opened RedDoor Gallery in the very location where her gallery journey first began nearly 20 years ago. Today, RedDoor showcases the work of 13 local artists in a space alive with light, movement, and community. Visitors are drawn not only to the original artwork but to the immersive experience — a place where art is being made, stories are being told, and creativity is palpable.

Liz also teaches monthly workshops in the gallery’s studio space, guiding students through the joy of oil painting in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Her popular classes — complete with treats, truffles, and good wine — reflect her belief that art should be joyful, accessible, and deeply felt.

Beyond the gallery, Liz and her husband Neil steward Shangri-La Farm, an organic haven near Grove Field known for its vibrant dahlias, fresh produce, and heartfelt connection to the land. Their commitment to sustainable living and seasonal beauty is yet another expression of Liz’s creative spirit.

A leader in the local arts community, Liz founded the Camas First Friday Art Walk and has been juried into the Clark County Open Studios Tour every year from 2017 through 2023. She remains an active member of multiple arts organizations and continues to shape the cultural fabric of Southwest Washington.

Through every brushstroke, event, and endeavor, Liz Pike is cultivating something remarkable — a space where art is made, shared, and truly lived.
