Local Camas artist, Gail Harrington, started painting many years ago when her husband was in graduate school and her children were very young. She embraced the solitude at night, and painted when her full house was still and
quiet.
 

She works primarily with acrylic and mixed media. Her inspiration is derivative of nature, music, scripture, and other artists’ work and is filled with texture and
experimentation. Gail’s work illuminates, with a quiet yet expressive freedom. Her love of creating is evident.
 

As a lifelong gardener, she also expresses her artistic
talent in and around her lush gardens. As the years have passed, her vision, medium, and form has progressed while her joy of expression has continued. Her children are grown, and she now paints by the early morning light, in her small studio at her Prune Hill home in Camas. Gail is encouraged by her husband, her four children, and her five grandchildren.
